About Link Building, does it matters that the related sites are from the same language?

I mean, I want to seo my site, so I know that I have to start a link building campain, so… can I link my site to other websites that have different language, like german or spanish when my site is in english.
thank you so much for your time

For building backlinks I look for sites that deal in the same topics/products and have a good Google PageRank. If it is a quality website with good content, that matters more to me than the language of the site.

How often does Google update its backlinks?

Hi,

I would just like to know how often Google updates its backlinks? As I have been working hard since November and have built up quite a few, but when i put link:http://www.itoms.com into google it only shows 5. It doesnt even show links that were there before November from very reputable sites.

Has anybody got any ideas about this?

To view all the links Google has found for your website you need to use Google Webmasters Central (www.google.com/webmasters). You can use the "External Links" section inside the dashboard. This will show you all the backlinks Google has found for your site, this data updates weekly. This is "far" better results than the link: search operator.

What is the best link building method on the busby seo challenge?

In finding for the best link building method on a seo challenge of the busby seo challenge. I have joined to this seo contest and I’m very hardly to find the best method of link building is the most effective on this seo contest. There are many ways of link building strategies but I need for the best techniques. This is my entry http://www.camalaniugan.com ready to win on the busby seo challenge where many guro, webmaster and seo specialist joined on this seo challenge.

Another great way to build backlinks is by posting comments on posts with PageRank of do-follow blogs,
make sure you include a link to your website in the ‘website’ field when posting blog comments.
Do-follow means that links from this page will count as backlinks and contribute to your PageRank.
If a blog is no-follow, your link won’t count as backlinks and won’t contribute to your PageRank.
How to determine if a blog is do-follow or no-follow? Just find a blog post with PageRank first.

If you’ve found one, follow these steps:
-Right mouse click >> View Source
-Press CTRL + F or go to Edit >> Search.
-Search for this phrase: rel="nofollow"

When no results are found, it means the blog is do-follow.

Good luck! If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me either
through Yahoo or through my own SEO/Webmaster forum which is listed in the source list.

What are the differences between tabs vs links in a web page?

I often hear people talk about ‘tabs’ and ‘links’ in web page. I notice that ‘tabs’ are always on the horizontal position on top part of a web page. Links are mostly located in the vertical column or within the main texts.
But, what are actually the correct differences among the two?
Thanks.

If I understand your question correctly, you’re referring to a set of links at the top of a web page, rather than part of the browser interface that lets you view several web pages, switching between them by selecting a tab, as in Firefox or Internet Explorer 7.

A "link" is a reference to a resource of some kind. It may link to another portion of the page, a different page on the same site, or something of that nature. Tabs are a design feature, as seen in the linked example, which place links in a row at the top of the web page.

So, to sum up, tabs use links, but there are plenty of other ways to use links as well. Does that help?

Is it bad to advertise the ability to create backlinks on my social community website?

I have a social community called The Gravity Blog, that has a links section for members to post their links as well as personal blogs. Would it be bad to advertise the ability to create backlinks for improving their own SEO. (The home page is where my advertisements are, if you would like to look. http://www.thegravityblog.com/)

Would Google or other search engines look down on this?

It sounds like it is almost a blogroll, as long as you dont go crazy with the links I would think youdd be ok.

What is the most important feature you need to know regarding linking building for SEO?

There are all kinds of theories regarding linkbuilding and SEO. Have you heard about contextual links? Can you give an example? Why does Google love these links?

When looked at from the link building perspective SEO is much more than just creating a link from one website to link to yours. There is targeting to be considered, deep linking as well as various linking methods.
The first thing that one needs to do when creating a link building SEO campaign is to analyze the pages that rank and possible link bait and quality content pages. From that analysis the next step is to identify which pages need to be worked on, those may be some pages that already achieved a ranking for some keywords that may bring you potential traffic. or those can be highly linkable pages that you want to rank for highly searched keywords, or the most important pages for conversions, but those two may be one and the same.
In my view the most important part of link building in SEO is quite often neglected, and that is a good analysis of the linking targets.
Coming to the contextual links,A contextual link is one in which the click able text is made up of a keyword phrase you want to obtain a page one listing for in Google.
For example, I’m personally interested in the phrase lead generation. I attempt to secure as many contextual links back to my main site’s homepage as I can.
A contextual link can only work if it links to a page primarily about the keyword phrase. For example, the phrase perspex furniture should link to a page about furniture made from perspex.
Contextual links look natural to Google and other search engines. That’s why search engines LOVE contextual links.
I Hope my answer might be of use to you!

The most important feature can be summed in 1 sentence.
build links that will drive Humans and Robots. if the link is for Robots only, it is not a good link.
