How is it possible that some websites create millions of backlinks in 3 or 4 years?

I was wondering how I can create some valid backlinks and then I found out that some dating sites have millions of them, so the question is how they do that in a short time?

1. Buying backlinks (packages sometime come in thousands)
2. Having workers posting up backlinks as their jobs
3. Great content so actual people link to it (Most important)

It’s money basically; you need to invest some to get successful.

Do redirect links have any link building value? Especially for Google?

For example: http://mybookmarks.com/cgi-bin/acc?m=sample&u=www.worldwidemart.com/scripts

This link take one to www.worldwidemart.com/scripts.

Would www.worldwidemart.com/scripts. benefit from this link as it is dynamic?

Let me correct the wronger answerer above, redirects through a URL portal do NOT pass on Pagerank or SEO value, they are however followed by crawlers to index\crawl that said website.

You want absolute URLs when it comes to building backlinks, this is the only way to pass on any Pagerank or SEO weight to your site.

RSS, SEO and link building?

Do RSS feed help build links for your websites? How do they do it?

Actually, it can provide direct help because some web sites will pull RSS content into their pages, and if they pull your feed, you’ve got a link from their site.

Also, at the Search Engine Strategies conference in San Jose last year, Jon Glick — a former Yahoo search manager — explained that Yahoo will crawl sites that offer RSS more often, because there’s an assumption the site offers fresh content.

Hi!

Link building is the actual process of building backlinks to your site, regardless of the types of backlinks.

You’ve got several choices when building links.

1. Look for websites in your industry, and contact them to do a link exchange. This means that they will put a link on your site, and in exchange, you’ll put their link on your site. It’s been said that google is giving less credit to link exchanges, and they give more value to one way links.(Links that only point to your site, without you having a link to their site.)

2. Article marketing. This is an EXCELLENT way to build ONE way links. These help much more when you are trying to increase the popularity and ranking of your website. What you do, is write articles in your industry, and submit them to free article directories. In the bottom of your article, or in the "resource box" you add a link to your site. This is excellent to build links to your site, but takes a lot of work and time. There are services that help you take one article that you write, and distribute it across hundreds of article directories automatically. This means that by writing only ONE article, you can get HUNDREDS of links… The one I currently use is http://www.bit.ly/SeoLinkV I’ve tried other ones, and I think this one is the best one out there….

3. Directory submissions. You can search google for "Your industry" + "Directory" This way you can find places which allow you to add your site link to their directory. This is great as well, but time consuming.
